"Being able to give back to the organization that supports the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge truly means a lot to me. As a fishing guide, I know the importance of protecting our essential mangrove habitat - the nursery of the sea. Many of the different species I catch on charters get their start in the mangroves. Sanibel would not be Sanibel without the Refuge, and when I take clients out into Refuge waters, I make sure to educate them on the importance of that. 

"Monthly giving with the “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society allows me to give back to the habitat my livelihood relies on. Without 'Ding,' there are no healthy snook, redfish, trout, or tarpon populations. Without 'Ding,' fewer educators are out there teaching our communities about the importance of this ecosystem. Sanibel is often seen as a paradise by many of my clients and without 'Ding,' Sanibel loses the unique title of paradise."
